🔒 Your privacy: Photos you scan are processed entirely on your device using on-device text recognition (Tesseract.js) — they are never uploaded, stored, or sent to any server, ours or anyone else's. The only network request this tool makes is a one-time download of a generic, public language-recognition file (not your data), cached after first use.

A Note on How This Works

We built the Claim Decoder to help you understand what's actually behind the words on a label — not to call anyone out. When you scan a claim and its ingredient list, we're just showing you what the text says, next to what current U.S. regulations actually require. That's it.

  • We're not making accusations. If an ingredient check flags something, that's information — not a verdict. Brands work within a regulatory system that leaves a lot of these words undefined; that's the actual problem we're pointing at, not any one company.
  • Scanning isn't perfect. We read labels using on-device text recognition, and photos can be blurry, curved, or cut off. A "Supported" result means we didn't see a concern in what was legible — not a guarantee.
  • This is here to inform, not to diagnose or advise. For anything about your skin, your health, or a legal question, a professional is always the better source than any app.
